Happy Anni-freakin-versary...

Well, this past weekend we celebrated our Anniversary Uno! Fortunately, we decided to make it a whole weekend thing instead of just celebrating today, Monday, because Jeff would have to work and I was supposed to go to school. Saturday and Sunday were pretty good. We went out to Gumbo's which is the place we went right after Jeff proposed to me, we went shopping and bought an omlet pan and apx 60 books (not exaggerating at all, luckily most were $1)... we went a little nuts. Also, my favorite purchase of the weekend, my new Sony Cyber-shot:

She's a beauty, isn't she? Got her for $109 dollars because they couldn't get rid of the pink ones... and they had several only in pink. Only they didn't know that I really, secretly, wanted the pink one... if for no other reason than because Jeff was vehemently against a pink camera! muahaha! The best part is that I had a gift card for $100, and Jeff had a gift card for $100, and another gift card with a smaller amount on it... so we got the camera, a memory card, a carrying case, and a video game without spending one dime of our own! woohoo thanks Mom and Dad merry christmas to us! And now a posting of a few of the photos I have taken with my new love:

As you can see the last picture I took is of my newest anniversary gift... prescription meds to cure my new lung disease. I am not sure what I have exactly but it's basically a lung infection that isn't as bad as bronchitis but could turn into it if I don't watch it. I found out that what I thought was just a minor cough was pretty serious today when I tried to do Aerobics, and 3 minutes into it couldn't breath. So I rushed to the Dr. and he said I'm supposed to take Amoxicillin to get rid of the infection, and the steroid Prednisone to turn myself into a big hairy man (I guess this helps your lungs get big and strong to avoid infection?). Unfortunately for those of you who were secretly excited to watch my slow transformation into a big hairy man, I will not be taking the Prednisone because I feel like the amoxicillin will do just fine. Inflamation schminflamation!!! But just for fun, here is a mock post-steroid photo of ME:

You love it! Back off ladies, I'm taken!

A tribute to our 1st year together...

One year ago this Monday, Jeff and I got married at the Round Rock Marriot. It was a beautiful wedding (if I do say so myself), and the best part about it was joining hands with my best friend, Jeffrey, while being surrounded by my very best friends and beloved family members! I want to give a shout out to Meghan Hoke, my maid of honor, who traveled all the way from Africa last year to be there for me. We may have had a few kinks we had to work out before the wedding, but in the end Meghan came through for me like only my big sister can. I also couldn't have gotten through the wedding chaos without my girls Lorraine (thank you so much for getting there a week before and just helping me get the last minute crap out of the way!!!), Cecily (if you hadn't been there to calm me down, paint my toes, and just be amazing I wouldn't have made it to the alter!!!), Ali (always the life of the party, it wouldn't have been the same without you girl), and of course my sisters Rebekah (you looked gorgeous!!!), and Valerie (so did you!!!). Actually all my bridesmaids were gorgeous girls, I'm gonna post a picture of them:

Top Row, L to R: Meghan, Me, Rebekah
Bottom Row, L to R: Cecily, Ali, Valerie

I especially loved that everyone let loose on the dance floor! I love to dance, as you all know... and this really made my wedding awesome!

This photo Jeff's dancing with my girls, Cecily, Ali, and Lorraine

Here I am dancing with Rebekah... I taught her everything there is to know about the sprinkler...

And of course I had to dance with my mom... I opted not to put the booty dancing picture...

Since our wedding, a lot has changed... Ali got married soon after I did, Lorraine is engaged and will be married in May. Meghan moved to Korea to teach english, Cecily is still going to school to study fashion design and Rebekah is making it through Jr.High.

As for us, our first year together has been an amazing adventure! We moved into our first (and hopefully last) apartment together, I quit my job at the hospital and went back to school full time to become a personal trainer, We've both matured... a lot... I think married life does that to you. Jeff's gotten a few raises and more responsibilities at work, we also added a new addition to our family, Akira Couture, our lovable Bengal. We've both started learning to cook, developing our skills with Rock Band, lol, and in general our biggest lesson has been learning to live together (which wasn't that hard thank goodness). Now that a year has passed, I can reflect on it and think how much Jeff has changed my life for the better. Before Jeff, I was a whole person. I was ok on my own, enjoyed dating, and dated many people. I had a good job, lived with my awesome hilarious aunts, and was slowly figuring out who I wanted to be in life. I'd been through the trenches already. When I met Jeff, he changed my life completely. Now I am a whole half of a bigger whole! (not to be mistaken for hole). My life has different meaning, and I have a better picture of my future in mind. I'm happier, my self-confidence has never been higher, I'm in love, I live with a person who makes me better, treats me like a princess, and encourages me to be the best version of me that I can be. It's wonderful being with someone who makes me feel happy, alive, and joyous! We laugh so much together, act like idiots and do really immature things to each other, but our life is so happy! I never worry he'll be mad at me or hold something against me, and I can be completely 100% ME, the best ME I've ever been!!! I think Jeff's also changed for the better. He doesn't work 24/7 anymore, he's always happy, (even though he seemed to be before, I like to take credit for that), we change the lyrics to songs together, have pillow fights, poke fights, water fights... fun fights. Our life is amazing.
So to all the people who told me we were too young to get married, to those who thought we got married too fast, and those who made bets on it not lasting a year... guess what? you're probably not even reading my blog... lol... but YOU WERE WRONG. I have NEVER been HAPPIER in my LIFE! (Although working at Disney World was awesome, college life with Ali rocked, and my senior year of high school was pretty bad A)... none of them beat being married to Jeffrey Scott Hartung. So... here's to a happy year. May we have many babies 5 years from now!

6. It's saturday night, now you're... chillin with my homies, Jeff and Akira, usually have some friends to hang out with like Chris and Tom and maybe Liz and Andrew... play rockband or whatever... no big deal. Even if we don't have plans I don't mind just being with Jeff.

7. It's saturday night then, you're... hanging out with my groupies! There was Cecily, Lynn, Daniel, Alex, Jonathan, Valerie, Ben, Lindsay, Mike, Holly, the other Mike, the list goes on... we'd throw in a few random others depending on the activity... we did crazy stuff like decorating peoples cars with oreos, mini golfing, going to the beach, hanging at my house in the pool or watching movies together, murder in the dark, we had so much fun!!!

8. What kind of job did you have in high school? I first worked at Food Lion for maybe 2-3 months, hated it, just never went back one day. I then worked at a restaurant called La Tropicale Cafe... loved that, it was carribean food!

Lushious Lashes

So yesterday I woke up at 4 am because Akira wanted to "nuggle"... fun stuff... but then had to get up at 6 with Jeff because I had to attend lash school with my mommy-in-law, Susan. I must admit I wasn't looking forward to it, because the last class I felt was a waste of time, and I heard this class was supposed to last 8 hours. On my way out, I didn't have time to get breakfast so I spent the morning starving, however the class was really good! I learned the basics first on the power point, then learned the basic technique on Miss Puff-face, pictured below:

I didn't know that we were supposed to bring in live models after lunch, so I texted Marian really quick and she made it! After starving until 1pm, I finally got some lunch, greeted Marian, and got to work! I don't have any pictures of what I did, but I did a bangin job! She looked great! The teacher said I was pretty good, just need to be more consistant with getting the extensions closer to the root of the hair without touching the root. It was really cool. Here's a photo of my report card:

I was there all day, so I worked pretty hard... and I'm proud of my work... stay tuned for new photos of my most recent lashtastic achievements!

Girls Night & Valentines Fun!

So the night before valentines day was Friday the 13th. Girls Night!!!! We decided that it, being such an unlucky day, should be a scary movie night. So I went to Marian's house and we sat and talked for a long time, then we went to get food at a Thai restaurant (I have never really eaten Thai before) but it was REALLY REALLY good. Then we went to this awesome video rental place that sorts the videos in a much more convenient manner. We decided on this Stephen King movie called something Hospital. I forget the first part of the title. You'll understand why in a second. So we get back to her house and decide to make our own valentine's day cards... mine turned out awesome, by the way, but for the sake of the people who read my blog, I won't make the picture visible enough for you to read what I put, because it's a personal hilarious card that some might find offensive. Anyways, we were so involved with making our cards that we watched the whole movie without really watching it, and I can only tell you that it gave a really creepy vibe but I have no clue exactly what it was about, except that it was a haunted hospital. WEIRD. Anyways... Lots of fun with Marian as always...

Saturday, Valentines Day, Jeff and I woke up and I made him stay in bed. I brought him the card I made him and some chocolate covered fruit like he loves! He was really happy and loved my card. I got him a few other things too, but I'd ended up giving them to him early because I couldn't stop myself. Jeff gave me a sweet card and Akira gave me a card, lol, and then he brought me tulips that are still alive, and chocolate covered strawberries. YUM! :D. We went house shopping after that with Hannah, found one we wanted, and then came home. We went to dinner with Jeff's parents at our favorite sushi place, Hayashi, and went home for some quality us time.

When we got home, we watched some of our
new show that we're addicted to called "Blood" it's an anime so get off my back, I don't have to justify myself to you people! Anyways... Let's forget I even mentioned what we were watching... Suddenly we hear these weird sounds coming from above and this is what we saw...

How she got up there is a mystery to me... but here's what I did to avoid using one of her 9 lives...

And that was pretty much how it went...

Akira Update

Yesterday I took in the bag of poop to the Vet's house. To reward myself for getting it done without vomiting, I bought myself a green tea latte (again, addicted). I then drove home and waited for the news while I did math homework (not my idea of a good time). Well, I got good news and bad news. Good news: I didn't have to collect a pee sample anymore because they knew what was wrong. Bad news: Akira has Giardia. What is Giardia? It's a parasite that causes diareah, and yes, it can be passed on to humans. YAY! I think I might have it to now... Jeff might too. If it isn't Giardia it's this rare breed-specific disease that is much harder to get rid of. It's found in Bengals alone, so we're hoping this 7 day batch of antibiotics works and cures her, and if it does, Jeff and I will go get tested for Giardia (although it's a great way to lose weight lol). In even better news, the second house we just put a bid on will probably be sold to someone else with a higher offer. Unfortunately for Jeffrey and I, we live in one of the LEAST affected cities in America as far as the economy goes. Even though Dell has laid of thousands of people, and there are tons of forclosed homes here, we're not even close to what California or Chigaco have seen. So the hunt continues... Thanks for your concern about my poor poopy baby. I love that girl, she's just the most sweet, adorable kitty ever.

Grossosity..

So I have blogged about Akira pooping on the carpet a few weeks ago. Well, 2 days ago she did it again, and I was like, what the hell? And Jeff said the magic words "Well, as long as she doesn't pee on it, it's ok, cause that would suck." What do I wake up to the very next morning? The sound of pee hitting the dresser where Jeff's things are. Oh man... I popped out of bed so fast, cleaned it up and hit google to figure out why she's doing this. Many said it could be a UTI or a zillion other reasons including stress and a not clean enough litter box. The thing is, we just changed out the litter so it was fresh, never used... so maybe she was mad we cleaned her box? I have no clue. So I took her into the vet. He said he didn't think it was a UTI but he'd need to get her pee. She spent the whole day and didn't pee once at his office, I brought her home and they make me use this tin foil "litter box" with beads that don't absorb and I'm supposed to wait for her to use it. Then I have to collect the pee in this little syringe. yuck. Instead, she decided it was a toy and spilt the beads all over the floor. YAY! More cleanup time for me!

So I take a bathroom break and when I come out, the smell of fresh poo entrances my ol' factory senses. Yep, one more time, lets clean up. So I find the pile and it has blood on it! I'm really freaked out now, I call the vet and his assistant tells me to bag it in a ziplock baggie, and save it in the fridge... oh my gosh... it was so gross. I almost died. I think I passed out a few times before it was bagged and in the fridge (I double bagged it). Then we made her spend the night in the bathroom with the litterbox hopefully she peed. I'm now going to let her out and hope I can collect more wonderful samples to take to our dear old vet. Next time he can collect his own, cause that's something I paid him to do.

I am worried, though, blood in stool is never a good sign...

For you, The World

Lucky you! The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me, Caitlin! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It'll be done this year. (might be a little while)
4- You have no clue what it's going to be.
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must repost this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who do the same on your blog. The first 5 people to do so and leave a comment telling me they did win a FAB-U-LOUS homemade gift by me! Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

Weekend Update

Ahh... I'd like to start this post with a sigh of relief. Why? Well, last week I was going through extreme mood swings and lethargy. I literally had to drink a green tea a day just to get myself through the day. Luckily, I am back on my feet today and feeling great (although I did endulge myself in yet another green tea latte, I think I have a problem...)!

This weekend was really really awesome. I feel like it was good bonding time for Jeff and me. Friday night we had a date night, went out to eat at this French restaurant called Le Madelein (which was NOT very good by the way) by ourselves, came home and played a new game together, and ended up staying up till about 2 am laughing. Then Saturday morning we went and looked at 3 more houses, and decided that we liked 2 of them. We are deciding between those 2 and another 1 that I liked from before for which house we're going to put a bid on. Luckily it was a short and sweet tour of homes, and we were back home by 3. We then went to get sushi at our favorite little restaurant (Hayashi) which is always really tasty. Saturday night we went over to Jeff's parents house where Liz, Andrew, and Chris and Tom came over and we all watched this really weird movie which I forgot the title of already. It was kinda stupid though, so no need to remember the title, cause I won't ever be looking to watch it again. Sunday, Jeff and I decided to go look at those houses again so we could figure out which house we should buy. We still haven't made a decision but I'm rooting for the one in Georgetown cause it's a better neighborhood. The one I really don't want has creepy across-the-street neighbors that have been sitting in their garage staring at us both times we've visited the home. They don't look like people you want to be friends with either. However, that home is the least in need of fixing up, and it's cheaper, so I might end up having to deal with creepy neighbors for a few years. Ugh. Maybe we'll buy some really large shrubs. lol. Also, over the weekend, we bought Akira a new squeaky mouse that you hang from the door (she broke the last one)... it is a great source of entertainment to watch her try to attack this mouse. She keeps trying to squeak in mouse language, and the resulting chirp noise is sooooo hilarious. Also, the old mouse she broke (ripped it off the string and broke it's voice box) is now our new favorite toy for her to fetch. Not only is it easier for her to carry in her mouth, but I can throw that thing a lot farther since it's not made of lightweight foil stuff... awesome.

And with that, I just want to add that I am so happy that I have such a wonderful little family. I love them so much, and wouldn't trade the life I have now for anyone elses!

Relationship Month: Relationship Advice from Yours Truly

This morning I lay in bed, unable to sleep for various reasons, and I was inspired to get up and write out my thoughts today. I've gotten tons of relationship advice over my lifetime, much of it from my mother, who had very sound advice, advice I didn't listen to enough. I learned many lessons the hard way, but am now happily married. I know several girls who are in bad relationships, even abusive relationships, and I felt that this is the time for me to pass my advice on to anyone willing to read it.

"Don't listen to what he's saying. Look at what he's doing. That's so much more telling than any verbal gymnastics they're going to give you." -- Drew Barrymore

"Listen to your best friends and your mother, because they aren't going to lie to you, they'll tell you if he's good for you or not. Your mother knows you better than anyone else." --me

"If he doesn't make you feel good, about yourself and just in general, it's time to walk away." --me

"If you feel sick inside when you're away from him for 3 hours, that's called codependance, you should be concerned."

"Laugh together often, don't take life too seriously, and don't yell at each other."

"A relationship is a 2-way street." "It takes 2 to Tango." "Sometimes it's not up to you. You can be the best wife in the world, but if he's not willing to meet you half way, and work on the relationship, you will have a very unhappy (relationship) marraige." --my mom

"When you get into the relationship, you will naturally change over time, look at yourself in the mirror, are you better now, or have you changed for the worse? That should tell you what kind of effect this man is having on your mental wellbeing." -- Me again

"Never ever, never, never, ever think that having kids is going to solve your relationship problems, or make you love each other more. Kids only complicate the picture. If he treats you bad before kids, he'll only get worse after. And how do you think he'll treat your kids?" -- my dad (ps these are things he said to me as advice, not while I was in an actual relationship)

One thing that keeps Jeff and me happy and in love, is the fact that Jeff is an unconditional lover. He never gets mad at me, he's very patient with me, and he is willing to talk things out if I get upset. Don't get me wrong, we have bad hours, but never a bad day. Don't ever think it's ok for a man to treat you bad, no matter what you've done. Don't ever think it's ok for a man to walk all over you like a doormat because you're his wife or girlfriend and he "needs" you. We are all daughters of god, and deserve to be treated like queens, that's the husband's job. In return we treat them like Kings... but if he's treaking you like his royal servant, it's time to do some deep in-house cleaning of the relationship, some renovation. (I'm talkin couple therapy or more drastic).

Many people believe that there is only 1 type of abuse. Physical. They think "Oh, I'll leave him if he hits me." It's not the only type. There is also Verbal Abuse, a HUGELY under-talked about form of abuse. If a man/woman you are in a relationship with manipulates, controls, and makes you feel bad about yourself using his/her words, it is probably verbal/emotional abuse. I could talk about the signs all day, but instead will just post the top 10 signs of abuse.

1. Isolation - not allowing you to see friends or family as often as you would like, keeping you home and away from the people you were close to before you were together

2. Jealousy - judging every act you make around the opposite sex as flirting, sometimes even around the same sex, getting angry with you for talking and interacting with other people.

3. Possessiveness - Not wanting to share you with other people, overly protective

4. Double Standards - you can't go out without calling him every hour and telling him where you are, but he disappears for hours without calling you once to tell you where he went. You can't talk to members of the opposite sex, but he flirts in front of you with other girls.

5. Name Calling - anything demeaning, ugly, stupid, Biotch, whore, you get the point.

6. Controlling Behavior - you can't do anything without his permission, and if you don't get his permission he makes sure you wish you had, either by the silent treatment, yelling at you, etc... you feel guilty if you don't comply

7. Threat's of Self Harm - he says things like "if you ever left me I'd kill myself" or something of that variation

8. Playing Rough - when you guys play around he gets too rough and hurts you, and it may seem like an accident but if this happens more than once it's something to pay attention to

9. Nonconsentual Sex - he wants it, you don't, he either guilts you into it, tells you he'll get it somewhere else, or physically forces you to do it. All of those things are nonconsentual and abusive. Oh another tactic, he accuses you of getting it somewhere else because you don't want to do it with him.

10. Violence - hitting, pushing, shoving, pinching, slapping, throwing, anything like that.

No one thinks it can happen to them, but it happens to millions of women and men regularly. If anyone has any questions for me, please feel free to email me or comment on my note. If you have anything to add, please comment. Thanks for taking the time to read this. Again, let me emphasize, most of my knowledge comes from my past experience, some from professional help (note my mom has her masters in psychology, and my dad is a psychologist), I also did an educational video on relationship abuse with HRM.

Ok... it just needs to stop...

Day 4 of hell week...

I can't seem to get out of this funk. It all started on Sunday with the house hunting, and the news that my Aunt Sherry might lose her foot because of cellulitis... The rest I've already blogged about, need I remind you of the cat pooping on my carpet?

Yes... so, I tried to start today out on the right foot, I had lots of energy at first... but by the end of aerobics, I was pooped. There seems to be a theme for the week I'm having... It's nothing really concrete, but my mental state has been different this week, I'm more tired, easily irritated, there is this muscle in my arm that won't stop twitching... I can't get my back handsprings to land right... and this is where my day took a turn for the worse.

So I start out first on the trampoline, and I just go for it, I jump back and land on my freakin head. Ok, I think to myself, first try, you were just a little out of practice, second backhandspring will be perfect! So I go for number 2... nope, worse... I land on my face this time and it hurts a little... so coach puts me in the belt of shame. For those of you who don't know what the belt of shame is, I'll explain it to you. It's kinda like a pully system that spots you so the coach doesn't have to. It's a belt (very thick and sturdy belt) attached to ropes on both sides, which lead to a pully system of ropes, which the spotter holds and maneuvers so you can't land on your head and kill yourself.

So I strap myself in, and I am going strong... I have my back handsprings down again, it's going better, and I think... ok, this day is not so bad. WRONG... 3 handsprings before I was finished, it all went wrong...

I get in position, crouch down and launch myself backwards, but as I do, the belt pushes my stomach in and out pops a FART. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........... my heart sinks as I finish the backhandsprings, unable to look my spotter in the face, nor the croud of people waiting to use the trampoline. Maybe no one heard it? It wasn't that loud, it was more of a squeak than anything else... but... let me tell you, as soon as I got off that trampoline, I hit the ground, grabbed my backpack and left class early.

Anyway, at least I got the chance to go visit my aunt sherry in the hospital. She is doing much better and will go home tomorrow. I had fun with my aunts, Didi was there too. We laughed and talked about funny stuff. It was nice for me. And then I talked to my brother tonight and we had some good laughs about my trampoline fart, and I think tomorrow will be much better, because tonight I found out I don't have to take micro/cellular biology which means I got to drop it, and I am feeling awesome about that. LOVIN IT!!! Anyways, peace out yall, I'm tired.

Update on House

We didn't get the house... someone put a bid in before we got the chance, and now the seller wants $145,000 for it in order for them to take our bid over the other, and it's not worth that much... so yeah.... all excited and worked up for nothing....

and to complete my craptastic day, Akira laid a big pile of poop under the keyboard Jeff bought me... yep... right after I heard the bad news on the house, I get home and have to clean up a very disgusting, fresh, steaming, pile of poop that was the consistency of pudding... and somehow managed to splash on the wall and paw prints all over the house in poop. Yep... don't know why... not sure how she thought that was ok....

House Hunting

So yesterday was the house hunt from hell! We looked at over 13 houses, and ended up deciding (tentatively) on the first one we looked at! UGH! To make it even worse, we started out in the 150,000 range, and decided that we should probably get a cheaper house so we could afford to do more than just live in our house. I thought eating was optional but Jeff told me it's not... Anyway... so we started looking at houses more in the 100,000 range, which are surprisingly a lot less nice to look at. First house we looked at (and will be putting a bid down on in the next few days) is a great example of the crap we had to go through. So we pull up to the house, and it's adorable. It's blue, with hearts around the windows, kind of victorian looking... but you can see that there is an addition to it, it's the largest house in the neighborhood. So I'm thinking, it's adorable! It's also 3,000 square feet! How is the price so low??? hehe... I soon found out.

So we get inside, and it looks like a construction site that got hit by a tornado at a daycare. Baby toys everywhere, including used baby diapers! I look at the sheet, was this a repo? Surely it was a repo if these people left the house in such disarray (understatement of the year). We move on to the kitchen, where we see food encrusted dishes, baby food, and yes... more dirty diapers. The living room looks like it was also being reconstructed, and there is wood and unfinished molding around the entry way. There is another room downstairs also being redone, covered in random wrappers and what not. So I hit the stairs, praying the upstairs is better. Much to my dismay it is not... The room I can only conduce is the master bedroom, is strewn with condom wrappers (Trojan Magnums if anyone was curious), used diapers, a poster with pictures of the family on it, and dirty panties you can tell belonged to a young girl around 5. I'm using my CSI skills to put together a plot in my mind at this point... but can't process the evidence because it's too disgusting. The toilet in the master bedroom is also broken, and the shower is very very questionable... mainly after seeing all the condom wrappers, I was reluctant to touch anything. Meanwhile, Jeff is going nuts! He's telling me that this guy was going to try to built a third floor, as evidenced by these stair shaped boards on the wall. This guy was ambitious! We walked over to the newly built part of the upstairs, and found this amazing master suite this dude was in the process of building. Not only that, but it was craftman-worthy! This guy knew his stuff. He had a place for a nice jacuzzi bath, a sitting area, 2 huge closets, and the workings of a surround sound area so that we can make our own theatre room... wowee... Jeff tells me he must have run out of money because this type of construction is costly. Hannah, our realtor, decided the woman had to have left the man that owned this house, with all the construction he'd done he'd been doing it for quite a while, and we saw the rest of the house, they were living like racoons!

So we went on to see 300 other houses, all were half the size of this first one. None were nearly as great in layout, nor did they need Jeff's constructional magic to fix up and then sell for lots of money... although we did visit some shady neighborhoods and found 3 of the houses had cracked foundations (very bad apparently)... so ultimately we decided the first one was our best bet (after I solemnly swore that I would not be the one to clean it out). We took Jeff's parents to see it a second time. They confirmed that it was a great buy, we could fix it up and sell it for a decent profit. So we called up Hannah and told her to do the paper work for our bid. On our way out, we met the neighbor. She was a nice girl around my age or maybe older (i can't always tell). She gave us the scoop on the house!!! So here's what happened:

The guy that owned the house was a Contractor, who was trying to make his house worth more so he could make money off of it. Meanwhile, he had a wife and four kids. Apparently, his wife cheated on him during his construction endeavors, and he was having a hard time finding work in the area. He found out about her cheating, and also that there was a lot of work in Oklahoma, so he told her he would forgive her if she moved with him immediately to Oklahoma. Apparently they dropped everything and left within days, maybe the same day... and apparently they were horrible neighbors and everyone was glad to see them go.

The end... I'll keep you posted on if we end up getting the house, and then the adventures of fixing it...
